True. But all reports I've seen seem to avoid the question as to what happens when Putin breaks the ceasefire - would those UK & French troops be getting involved to fighting?

I think the situation would be that those troops would be there to act as a deterrent and would be backed by NATO/US thus meaning that breaking the ceasefire would be very unwise for Putin. (I fully acknowledge that Putins ideology may well outweigh his wisdom!). With Russia's military performance and losses of personnel and weaponry, over the past few years, if push came to shove, I wonder what kind of resistance Russia could put up against Ukraine, NATO, US and EU combined forces.

It seemed to work for 40 odd years in Germany.

Yep, right in the thick of it, Russia shooting, dropping bombs on the British soldiers.

Best bet would be to tell Starmer to do one, resign from the forces.

Nobody sane is going to throw their life away for Starmer

Everyone, including Bone Spurs Trump, knows you only show strength to those weaker than you, and then only if there’s money to be made out of it.

Except is the basis of their presence is on the basis they won't fight (ie Rules of Engagement = don't engage) the Putin can ignore them as if faced with Russian troops they'll just run away ... no "deferent". US have said they won't be doing any fighting so Russian troops arrive and US just tell everybody where to run away from.

Starmer trying to kill of the English pub. There proposed alcohol lower limit will do nothing to reduce alcohol related incidents.

Scotland reduced their limit in 2014. There hasn't been a reduction attributed to the lower limit of alcohol according to several studies. General accident reductions overthe years has been attributed to vehicle safety systems.

This is probably due to the fact Starmer is banned from most pubs on the UK-hes a little pissed about that

Somewhat embarassingly, the "warship" the YK Government sent to help the USAnians hijack the ghost tanker wasn't a warship at all, or part of the Royal Navy. It was a RFA Tanker Ship which is crewed my merchant seamen.
Maybe Starmer was hoping to syphon off some of the oil!

Also Tobias Elwood was on Sky New Politics Hour this evening. He speaks so much sense, and it is a huge loss that he is no longer an MP.

From the video shown on BBC News, the tanker intercepted off Scotland, was empty, or, very near empty.

If the route it had followed (also shown on BBC News) was anywhere near accurate, perhaps the RFA was in attendance to possibly refuel the seized tanker, if required?

. . . and did this "kill" the Scottish pub?

There have been around 15-20% decline in pub closure in Scotland since 2015 likely to combining factors.

The lowering of alcohol limits in Scotland did nothing to reduce alcohol related vehicle incidents.

There are enormous pressures on rural pubs, without adding a reduced alcohol level, when evidence shows this has little to no effect on road safety.

I contend because starmer cant have a drink in a pub (cause hes banned from most-joke) no one can enjoy a pint

So that's a "no" then

Er, alcohol related accidents and deaths are down 2/3 in Scotland. From, I understand, a comparatively high level.

https://www.transport.gov.scot/publ...mbers of drink-drive,to some 250 (casualties).

But even so, opposing lowering the limit for consistency with the rest of Europe and North America is another one of those things that requires one to argue in favour of something that is clearly a good idea but spoils the fun, like speed limits and seat belts.
