A couple of seconds research discloses this is for collective security.

In other words is to counter racist and Islamophobic attacks.

Bah, facts.

So, allegedly Starmer has refused Trump permission to use 2 bases, Fairford & Diego Garcia to launch strikes on Iran.

If Trump ignored this & used either or both bases, what in practice will Starmer do?

Theoretically he could kick US off bases, but that won't happen, so what will Starmer do?

My guess, nothing. Soon to find out one way or the other. The alternative is simply to use other bases. 😉

"We’ve been posting today about how BBC Verify has been using flight-tracking websites to monitor US military aircraft moving across Europe towards the Middle East...Aviation photographer Finley Neville-Jones contacted us last night with pictures he took at RAF Lakenheath, an air base in the English county of Suffolk that hosts US Air Force units.
The photographs show at least six F-22 Raptor fighter jets. The FF tail code on the aircraft indicates they came from the US Air Force’s 1st Fighter Wing based at Langley in the state of Virginia.
Sam Wise, aviation analyst at intelligence firm Janes previously told us that these advanced jets with stealth capabilities “aren't regularly deployed to the Middle East because they're fewer, high value assets”.
The photographs also show multiple US Air Force F-15s. The LN on their tails mean they belong to the 48th Fighter Wing which is based at RAF Lakenheath."

Everyone at the FT is a world leading expert and we must accept what they say implicitly.

They do seem to make enough money to retain journalists, and they're not nearly as right-wing as you might imagine. On the other hand, one of their founders was Horatio Bottomley.

If FT wind up NF, they’re ok by me.

More journalists need to do that, I don't think it would take too much hard questioning for his facade to break. Obviously that won't come from say Chris Mason asking him questions though and most of the mainstream press certainly don't want him to crack.

As far as the mainstream press is concerned he is a gift that keeps on giving. Clickbait after clickbait.
No, they don't want him to crack.

Okay okay, so they may know what they are talking about, but their graphs on X are terrible.

No criticism of Starmer, but I'm not sure practically there is much more he can do in reality
Not without "growing a pair". Lots he could do eg rush to US and tell Trũmp how brilliant he is, how good looking he is, etc.. Reality is he wouldn't do anything 'cos it might upset Trûmp.
