Couple of things stick out about that charming little rant:

As an "OG lesbian" it's pretty incredible she's spouting the same rhetoric used against her in the 80s and 90s.

And how "OG" is she? Because the ILGA community is older than LGBT (if acronyms are really necessary to pigeonhole your sexuality, which they aren't for me) and NAMBLA was a member for an uncomfortably long time.

Which I suppose brings me to "MAPs is next", which is just nonsense (or nonce-sense if you've got a sense of humour). Paedophiles are as old as time, and conflating them with trans/queer people is just as old (as well as tedious). It's fear-mongering claptrap to suggest they're trying to stealthily clamber in to mainstream society under the LGBT umbrella.

So top marks for the rant I suppose, because she's got some traction on Twitter and will reinforce a lot of prejudices.

Minus points for wilfully promoting hatred though (and for looking like Generic Lesbian Character in Bookstore from a mid Noughties sitcom).

Through organisations they're trying to normalise these perverted/abhorrent behaviours

I've always considered it to mean "original gangsta", popularised by Ice-T's album.

But yeah, home-girl above isn't someone I'd take particularly seriously. But then people ranting at their phone dropping TRUTH and COMMON SENSE TAKEDOWNS in their cars or weirdly lit kitchens/basements are pretty much always just talking pish.

OG is right that T doesn't belong with LGB, which are sexual orientations.

Men identifying as lesbians and calling actual lesbians bigots for not wanting girlcock (most keep their original equipment) is, not to put too fine a point on it, crazy.

As for the poll, I threw nuanced in as a joke, because it's used quite often by people who think it sounds good, but judging by their inability to actually parse nuance, don't know what it means.

There's nothing like an unbiased poll to help understand an issue....and this poll is certainly nothing like an unbiased poll designed for that purpose.
