Those and just long leads on narrow roads with unobservant owners.

The worst wander-lead event for me was when I didn't even realise that there was a dog on one side of the road attached via a lead to a human on the other side... an accident was only averted at the very last moment when the human realised and dropped the lead so that the trip wire fell to the tarmac.

Yes, I have seen several joggers felled by extending dog leads, So far, I have avoided that fate myself, but, with some close calls.

I would much rather handle (say) a German Shepherd, than a Yorkshire Terrier.

What?

A dog that if it goes rogue could literally kill you and a Yorkie that couldn't break skin even when rapid angry

There are several shared paths in here that are made almost unusable on the bike by inconsiderate dog walkers.

I had this happen to me with some guy standing in a queue at a kebab van whilst the dog was the other side of the pavement. That said I'd rather that than be called a jogger - I'm a runner!

I once offended a neighbour saying that. He told me his 5k time and everything.

Same guy said "nice kayak" about my single scull, which is the equivalent of me asking him if he was out for a walk.

I can understand big payouts in cases where someone might need specialist medical support for the rest of their life, and having a Standard Poodle myself I know what vets charge, but £30000?

And she really needs to work on her compo face for the press photos.

There is just so much Daily Mail bollocks in there. The vet charges appear to be 24k. There is no way that Uveitis can definitely be proved to have been brought on by stress. There is no way that the costs have been assessed. It would appear that as Torgan has offered £5k in compensation twice that she has admitted liability (unless she offered without prejudice). Then there is the waffle about insurance - I presume it is referring to her public liability insurance which she stupidly let lapse. It doesn't seem to ask why the owner was not insured when he decided to have the dog operated on.

That’s a long take.
My take was more simple. Why didn’t she have the dog in a secure area?

Sensible dog owners carry their dogs in designer shoulder bags… you can even get some big enough for proper dogs.
