Not a football fan, but, I suppose I hope England win. However, if they don’t win, please, can it be an African Nation (Somalia would be perfect, are they still in?), because, that would really piss Trump off. 😊

No they aren't. Iran very unluckily went out having drawn all 3 group games. Some Trump regime tosser was doing a stupid dance about it.

I predict the heavy hand of VAR (or absence as applicable) should it look like the US are going to lose.

Morocco are a good side, could even win the whole thing. They may not be black enough to really irritate Trump. Plus, he may not realise they are African.

Mexico also might do well, as in they may be a step too far for England. Mexicans having any success on US soil may induce the fat orange one to have a stroke.

If both teams win the last 32, Mexico will play England in the last 16!

either:

a quandary for the grandchildren ie who to cheer for

or

a win-win, one of their teams get through

😊

Ivory Coast are still in it too, but no African team has ever got past a quarter final...

Just gone out. I am not a fan, but, with a choice of Wimbleton, or some Quiz Show, or Football, I chose football. It is rather amusing to watch football, with Mrs Boldonlad, she is not a fan (a legacy of having 6 football mad brothers, and a football mad father), but, she cannot help herself getting "into it" and ends shouting at TV.

I felt rather sorry for Ivory Coast, I thought they put up a good fight.

They waited too long to bring Diallo on and Haaland has a habit of doing that.

Which is going to mean nowt really if you don't watch or like football, but there we go...

I will save it, so that I sound knowledgeable at the next pensioners drinks outing (Friday evening I would guess). Thank you 😂
