I've been put on the naughty step (so you might get even more of drivel than usual here this week, soz ...). Slightly mysterious; sadly the only info is:
The only posts of interest I think I've made (since Friday) were on the Vuelta thread, where I posted about the protests. I had - to my mind - a perfectly civil chat with Mr gweed. The thread has since been locked while they removed our chat about protests.
Is THAT the likely reason for my ban??
Oh well, life goes on. We'll always have the NACA forum, darlink ...

Reminds me of when Bike Radar was moderated by the 'Stasi'. I got the ban whip quite a few times. 2 weeks here, 2 weeks there and threats to close my account.
It can be a bit lace doilies and tea next door.
When you're back, why not start a Readers Digest thread?

Most definitely the reason. You may only discuss the most bland level of topics over there, in a bland way.
They love gear related posts, or photos of bikes in front of *anything*.

As I think I noted when I was put on the naughty step for using two or three French words, it does seem to be heavy-handed and not consistent (and as @glasgowcyclist pointed out, not necessarily actually breaking any rules - they do seem to get bees under their bonnets about certain things).
So I only put the blandest stuff there.
