I think Sunak is in the same position as Corbyn but then somewhat reversed, Corbyn was seen as an extreme left socialist,(who would bankrupt the country) i think they see Sunak as extremely rich and therefore has only his own financial gains in mind.
Additionally Sunak seems to be in the same situations as corbyn with corbyn being filmped sitting on the floor in a train whilst claiming it was full(while it was not, and the video showing them staging that video went quite viral)
Sunak was filmed in a i think amazon warehouse asking a question to one of the workers with which he makes clear he can say he knowns where he is talking about all he wants his actions show otherwise.(and that was also a staged appearance, Sunak just needed to get one question right...)

Corbyn was portrayed as an extremist, despite pushing policies that were fairly mainstream. Sunak was portrayed as a moderate, despite being an extremist right-winger brexity nut job.

I don't see how that is different from what i'm stating other then your own added definitions of whom Corbyn was in terms of political positioning and whom Sunak is in terms of political positioning. I deliberately left that part out because otherwise you gonna gat 20 pages off discussion about what direction someone actually would be, while in this case i think the discussion why the tories seem to be only good at losing nowadays is far more interesting. Just as if it would extent to an general election.

Nope, Sunak simply has no gravitas. It makes his lack of sincerity look even worse.
Interestingly, the Tory party are ever more the party of caricatures.
