There's the issue of 16 lorries with 400kgs of at least 60% enriched Uranium that i very much doubt Israel and the US will allow to go "poof" in a cloud of smoke. More massive ordinance penetration almost guaranteed i reckon...

Iran has known for ages it has gone way beyond civillian use enrichment. Iran has been letting in IAEA indpectors who everybody knows will report on the enrichment levels. Naeanyahu has had his wet dream of attacking Iran for years. Iran will have recognised how easily the likes of Putin & Netanyahu can manipulate Trump.

Iranians are not stupid and know full well it was always a matter of when not if.

Two ways of protecting enrichment facilities, under a mountain provides some protection when everybody knows where it is. Hidden in a very ordinary warehouse on industrial areas of Tehran with lots of novelty yogurt chiller vehicles arriving and departing is another way.

Iran is not stupid. Does anybody believe Iran does not have a Plan B? Does anybody believe Iranian leaders are incapable of lies and deception (given their training from the likes of Trump & Netanyahu)?

I can't help thinking though, on the point of Iranians not being stupid, that if they didn't react to the US bombings, they would have left Trump with his trousers around his ankles. The token retaliation not only played into Trump's rhetoric, it pissed off Qatar, a close bilateral partner... Im struggling to see any benefits from the Iranian side.

I imagine that they had to be seen by their citizens/followers to have done "something".
That the "something" was only a token gesture minimised the fallout. Tough tightrope to walk.

Difficulty is countries are being attacked, bombed, people killed because politicians are assuming Iran is making a nuclear bomb.

There are other uses for their plutonium politicians seem to ignore, maybe because it might raise questions about preemptive bombing Netanyahu is do desperate to see.

I have no knowledge of Iran's intent but do those ordering illegal bombing?

nb not defending gbe Iranian regime, just starting wars need to be legal and justified.

Does stopping a war that you enabled, that would never have happened without your "go ahead", a war that you could have stopped before it started, a war that all your predecessors prevented without even thinking, does that count towards any Piece Prize?

As preposterous as it seems but I think that is the goal. We will see.

Maybe, if weapons are really what the Iranians are doing, driving the work into a better hidden secret location without IAEA scrutiny - so we would no longer know if they are doing anything and how far they've progressed.
