They were even talking about doing it when they were in charge but never did (possibly as all their efforts were focused on Brexit or immigration).

I think it's a pretty potent demonstration of all her worst traits. Someone whose self confidence wasn't so wildly at odds with her actually ability might have checked before pressing 'Send' and realised that there were gaping holes in her logic, and that the post just reads like out & out racism, which is quite the thing given her own history.

But no, no one holds her in higher regard than she does.

To be fair, I think McSweeney is the parallel character in Labour: convinced he was the mastermind behind in 2024 election trouncing, when in fact it was already a done deal because of how unpopular the Tories were (and the fact they really didn't want to win anyway).

TBH, I won't be entirely surprised if Mahmood tries to outdoor her, when she and McSweeney see what a lot of likes and positive comments Badenoch gets on X.
