Just think of the meme. It's all Badenoch does, and I think that overstretches her sometimes.

If you pan right, the £350 a week for the NHS bus is in the same car park , on bricks.

I wonder if they have the slightest clue about the timescale involved in "drill baby drill".
We are talking in terms of years.
By which time renewables will be so widespread there will be no market for those hydrocarbons. I suspect the investors who would be needed to pay for the new drilling will realise that and no be investing.

Hmmm. I'd say that we will still be in the transition stage until 2030, probably longer, Also that oil & gas have uses other than fuel.
Anyway, it is not a solution to today's problems.

Interesting report in today's Guardian
Hundreds of North Sea licences granted by Conservatives have ‘so far produced only 36 days worth of gas’
Hundreds of licences granted for new oil and gas projects in the North Sea under the Conservatives have so far produced only 36 days’ worth of gas, according to analysis.

Research by the energy consultancy Voar and the campaign group Uplift found that between 2010 and 2024, the government handed out hundreds of new North Sea oil and gas licences in seven licensing rounds.

This led to 20 new and relicensed fields that have the potential, over their lifetime, to produce enough gas to supply the UK for only six months. To date they have produced the equivalent of 36 days of extra gas.

Oil is used to produce more products than Petrol and Diesel.

Crude derived plastics do not, by and large, contribute to global warming. Unless they are incinerated at end of life.

Is this crude derived plastic? How can you tell?
