Why has Carrie accompanied de Pfeffel to Rwanda? Is it to prevent him having Ugandan discussions?

This is a bit of a long read but worth the time. It doesn't challenge the diagnosis but it does question the overegging.

I would have thought that basic patient confidentiality made signing the official secrets act unnecessary?

It would also appear that the doctor quoted has breached said patient confidentiality.

It would appear there are exceptions. When Johnson made it public knowledge that he was treated for covid, that previously protected information became accessible via an FOI request.

How? Your medical record is confidential between you and your doctors whether you are Bert the Plummer or Boris the Prime Minister. If you are Boris or Queen Elizabeth your medical records will possibly be subject to *additional* protection, but it shouldn't be needed. It is illegal to access the medical records of a patient and share that information if you are not involved in their care. It is a disciplinary offence just to access the records if you have no good reason for doing so, and all access to records is audited.

Personal information is exempt from FOI requests.

That's a tricky one. If the doctor was speaking to another doctor about the results and a journalist overheard them then there is no breach of confidentiality. Otherwise I agree.

So the question is, who is the Ms Fox to whom the tweet is referring?
Dr Shirley Knott. Really? And this is being reported as news?

For the hard of thinking that would be "Dr Surely Not and Dr As Leg Pulling I think.
For the really hard of thinking, you can look up doctors both here:

https://www.specialistinfo.com/b_directory.php

and more easily here:-

Indeed. So if this Ms Fox referred to in the tweet is some sort of journalist or politician or something, then it calls her credibility into question regarding fact checking and reliability of sources.
