It is just elaborate gaslighting.

Basically he's had his moment of being a cheeky chappy underdog, and now he's just a coarse rich handsy bloke. His best option from here is to disappear quietly and enjoy retirement. If he and his "friends" keeps defending what he's done wrong, he'll just come crashing down even harder before we all forget about him.

Wallace's statement (https://ncap.cyclechat.net/attachments/gvxzuy7wyaa8f_i-jpeg.9019)
For over two decades, that authenticity was part of the brand. Now, in a sanitised world, that same personality
is seen as a problem.
The world and society are continually changing and we are all continually adapting. When I was a child we used to have "The Black & White Minstral Show" on TV (didn't watch it but it was broadcast). Were one of those male dancers to still be turning-up in TV shows same make-up, same gloves would viewers applauding his performances?

Robertson's jam significant packaging redesign but if they re-released a "25 anniversary" packaging would we see massive sales boom sales or protests.

Does Wallace consider his behaviour sacrosanct and that he should be allowed to continue what society has recognised as unacceptable?

I think that’s about right.
His time has gone. He may feel a bit aggrieved but he hasn’t evolved with the times.

I took your post with the emoji,. But it also is relevant that blaming his neurodiversity for his clothing "challenges" must make one wonder why these issues only emerge when he is with young adults of the opposite sex ...

I'm not arguing with that in the least... see my earlier posts. It doesn't help with understanding autism if jerks like G Wallace use it as an excuse for literal willy waving by someone who's old enough to know better.

This. He may well see himself as the cheeky chappy, but everyone else sees a disgusting old man.
He is not special.
