I suppose that depends on how you define "dangerous", and, "christian", is London (say) a Christian city?

Not really Christian and not particularly dangerous on a world scale.

Presumably this would be a reference to cities in central and south America, and southern Africa?

I somehow don't think it's entirely reasonable to infer causation from this correlation with the prevailing religion.

I would agree, but, could you give an example of a "christian" city which you consider to be in the dangerous category? I would guess, it would be in South America.

Cities all over the Americas (South, North, Central and Caribbean) feature on that list along with South Africa. Without resorting to stats, I would then include places like Lagos. Then whilst not up there on a world scale, Philippines has quite a lot of crime for Asia.

It's just a random theory based on my travels. I'm sure plenty of exceptions could be found.

I would suggest places like Gaza City, Mogadishu, Sanaa, Kabul, Aleppo etc. etc. are as or more dangerous but not in terms of recorded criminal stats. Not many of them are Christian.

A lot of places vary greatly in danger based on who you are as well. I suspect I would be far more likely to get mugged in Mexico as a visitor with sunburn, flipflops and some ill judged bathing attire than if I was a local.

Truro: A friend who would know said that most of the court cases there were "family-related".

Up here they have an expression when people are judged to be, or its is suggested that they are too closely related: They say "Sweet home Alabama".
