All I know is that lots of people were hoping it was a terrorist incident, as this would have been beneficial to their cause.

I have once been “caught out” in a similar situation:

In my working days, I had spoken regularly to a lady, based in Leeds, on the telephone. She had a pronounced Yorkshire accent, and, a very English sounding name. After some time, when she had put lots of work my way, and, I had, no doubt, earned her significant commission, she suggested we should actually meet in person. Based on nothing more than her name, and her voice, I was expecting a plump blonde, she was in fact tall, slim, exceedingly attractive and of African heritage, and, we had a very enjoyable lunch 😂
