I often see places when out cycling in the countryside with homemade banners saying "save our countryside, no to solar farms" or words to that effect in areas where there are acres of unused land and barely any houses or settlements around.

Also they often have sheep grazing in the same fields. Clearly they can’t take as many head of sheep per acre, but the land is still productive.

And actually good for shade for sheep when it's sunny, and (I think) can be good for other fauna/flora, if done well.

Imo golf courses are a bigger waste of space and blight on the countryside.

A thought just occurred to me. Remember the heady days all of 3 or 4 weeks ago when stocks were rocketing? Did anyone else cash in and divest?

My EFT dropped £850 over night but has since regained £150.
It is still up over the year.
In it for the long term.
I haven’t dared to look at my pensions.

Hmmm. I just thought with the hive mind agreeing that a dip/crash was just around the corner that some might have benefitted from acting on their convictions.

I must admit that I'm not looking at the moment: I've got two lots of managed funds on relatively low risk, and have had correspondence from both saying that they are continually monitoring and adjusting. Their guesses are probably better than mine.
