Not exactly news, and, it’s football… sorry

But, tonight Germany v Curaçao. The population of Curaçao is less than 200,000, it is like Germany playing a team of South Shields residents! Wouldn’t it be fun if Curacao won?

Don’t think I can muster enough interest to actually watch it 😊

The team is made up of 90% Dutch rejects with ancestral links to the island.
They were all born in The Netherlands.

The tournament is much too big if these teams get to qualify. The fact that US, Canada and Mexico all got a free pass meant there wasn’t many other teams who could have qualified from the Nortn America group.
