Ooh, I remember when that turntable came out. Was a bit of a game-changer, IIRC.

Combined with a NAD receiver and a pair of Kef Coda speakers accounted for most of the proceeds of an eight week summer job.

Rega Planar 2. For which I recently bought a new cartridge and have started listening to vinyl again.
I was well impressed with the two guys in the hifi shop, one of whom may have been the same age as my turntable while the other was less than half its age. They knew that my turntable would have the original non-rega arm and found an appropriate cartridge for it.

I am currently listening to a 1982 Technics SL-Q202 fitted with an Audio Technica Shibata cartridge.
Not the first choice amongst audiophiles but the specs are upper end. Most importantly, I like the sound.
