It must be remembered that, as Brian said, the sole reason for the Brexit referendum was to unite the tory party.
That went well, didn't it! 😂😂😂

I didn't quite envisage how bad it would end up but I do remember thinking at the time that this was all going to implode as the reality of trying to deliver anything that amounted to a 'win' was nigh on impossible. The thing that really did for them was the virulent streak of nationalism that it unearthed (rather similar to Trump), which seemed to precipitate the lurch to the right for both party and a fair chunk of the electorate, and the ensuing emergence of Reform as a result.

In fairness, the ones who are left seem to be pretty much as bad as each other now.

Solid sh!t instead of diarrhoea?

Air India flight bound for Gatwick crashes after take off from Ahmedabad. 242 people on board.
Details

Awful news.
The video footage shows the plane to be flying level, in one piece, no fires, but very low with gear down. Seemingly with little or no power. The pilot even flairs the plane in an effort to land.

It will be very poignant at 6.25 tonight in Gatwick.

Imagine waiting for your relatives to arrive.

For the uninitiated this is a dual carriageway in a part of the country where tractors pull on from unmarked single track roads at 20mph, caravans and HGVs lumber up an 8-10% grade at 30-40 with motorcyclists and cars passing at 70-80.

I truly believe cycling on the M25 would be safer.

I can hardly believe it... surely not? (This is PE reporting on the completely fabricated story the Telegraph printed about a couple of £345k a year not being able to afford private school fees and 15 holidays a year.)

Indeed so. Can you just imagine if a 'bold' cyclist decided they wanted to cycle up Haldon Hill (the A38) and made their way across the two lanes of the A380 at Splatford Split?

It's perfectly legal to cycle here. The majority of cars are accelerating to go up one of the 6% hills and not to get stuck behind tractors or lorries. I'd guess the road gets closed here about once a month or two on average from car crashes. To make it even more 'fun'. there's a petrol station on the left a little way back from this point, and cars coming out of there who want to go on the A38 have to cross the two lanes of traffic heading for the A380.

There are going to be two regional wars going on soon, both stoked by the US and in which the US is going to proclaim no interest. Plus Taiwan.

They are the world's internet trolls now.

The US will be too busy with a Civil War if Trump continues in his current way.
