I've never had covid (to my knowledge at least).
I think I'm the only person I know who hasn't.
It seems almost surreal now but it was an awful time. I've said before on here that I think it'll be years before we understand the true cost in terms of how psychologically damaging it all was and what the long term health implications are.
You might have had it and not know. As a hermit, I avoided it until last summer. And then I only knew I had it because I had a few tests left over and I felt a bit tired.

The enormous range of severity in different people - different families - has always been striking.

You're probably right. I always tested whenever a family member had it or someone I had been in contact with had it but could easily have missed the point when it was detectable. I almost never get colds or coughs so maybe I have high immunity and barely noticed the symptoms.

I was still in the "is it safe to visit mum next week" frame of mind last year. Despite my petri fish nephew visiting throughout the pandemic.

But now she's all "I'm not sure about getting the flu jab" despite having nearly died twice from pneumonia and "wants to die quietly in her sleep" (not compatible with pneumonia) so I'm not sure if £5 on COVID tests from Boots is what she would want me to spend money on.

I wonder who actually reads the Telegraph for trustworthy news... it's almost as if they have an agenda which overrides telling the truth.

Surely the Chairman and editor should resign and they should post endless articles criticising themselves? I await a letter from Ms Pinder’s lawyers informing them they are suing for a minimum of $100 trillion and for her to state how it’s her duty to do so.

The wording of the correction has the appearance of being a specific legal demand from Pinder's lawyers.
