I keep coming across a lot of people with flu at the moment, but I'm hoping my vaccine holds out. If it does, then I think £12 was a good investment.

I wouldn't be surprised if my lurgy is flu (I was vaccinated), but it's nothing in comparison to my unvaccinated bout in 1990.

The resident doctors have started their latest strike and their representative isn’t doing a great job of justifying it on the BBC this morning.

That's because the stike is not justifiable.
I suspect they have virtually zero sympathy from the general public.

Apparently 28% of the public support them. I suspect they believed that people banging saucepans outside their houses every week in lockdown genuinely supported them rather than them just engaging in a bit of virtue signalling to break the monotony (I think most probably actually have more sympathy with nurses than doctors too).

The doctors may want to put forward more likeable representatives if they want to increase support, this one just came across as whining and self-entitled.
