Related to the Farage 'sting', James Orr is an academic at Cambridge, whose subjects include divinity and ethics, and for whom Cambridge recently had to pay a PhD student £5000 compensation for the bullying by Orr.

I'm sure the same papers that published dozens of articles hounding Arday will be all over it, given he admitted to breaking the law on camera. Just any moment now.

Can we demand reparations from the Normans?

It was more rival claimants to the throne than an invasion. Harald, Harold and Guillaum were all cousins.

I'm still getting to grips with the idea that medieval houses had staircases on the outside.

Staircases? A bit modern if you ask me. Having an 'upstairs' rules out having a smoke hole in the thatched roof.

A friend of mine, in his thatching days, was removing old thatch from a roof in Whimple, and had to stop when he found a medieval smoke hole – all the subsequent thatch since had simply been piled on top of the original roof for five centuries.

The point is, which you are missing, is that whilst that is true, the fact is that not every attendee does that, and the organisers factor this into the ticket costs. They encourage people to clean up and pack up, but a lot of their target audience can't be arsed.

They did say that they had seen a meaningful improvement this year on packing up tents.
The granddaughter of friends of mine has just come back after “doing” Reading with school pals from the local private school. Four of them in a decent quality tent bought by their parents for the weekend. Because it was wet they cba to pack it so left it there, as you do when Daddy paid for it.

And contrary to what some say the vast majority of tents etc that are left just go to landfill as organisers and charities do not have the manpower or facilities to recycle cheap tents, most of which are not suitable for the homeless.

Has there been a pile-on yet? Isn't that waht happens when the dam breaks, especially as in this case his subject was divinity and ethics?

Do you see now the reason for my skepticism about there being any consequences due to the exposé? It may even happen that the journalists will be the only ones suffering any real consequences.

Lots of intersecting things here, but being while, male, and right wing, does seem to grant a bit of a forcefield, I'll admit.

That said, I think even some white, right wing, and male journalists would like to prove that Farage is a cad and a bounder of the highest order, and they've got a lot more than aspersions to work with.

I admire your optimism.
