Dunno never watch Rugby. Just a lot of thigh grabbing as far as I can tell.

But Brian Moore always struck me as searingly intelligent (not ours, obvs), but willing to heabut anyone without warning, as and when required.

Brian Moore is/was a barrister, so yes, reasonably intelligent, and a decent rugby writer.
His on air spats with Eddie Butler when trying to commentate were quite amusing.

Yes, it was like listening to Statler and Waldorf.

See, it turns out that being curious about language, and interacting with others about it, can be a positive experience. Two of us learnt something this morning, as a result of someone else tempting me to look up a contested word.

Before, or after the budget? That is the question.
Timing is everything.

Also how bad is it going to get in France.

Might see how it goes Mon/Tue and hedge my bets. It's not been near 1.20 for quite some time, though I do sometimes wonder if a round number like that makes more people buy and push the price down. I've never quite got over missing 1.44 or whatever it was at its height pre-Brexit. I got something like 1.40, but missed the peaky peak.

I happened to be having a sleepless night that night. Too excited? 😂
Cashed in quite fortuitously for an upcoming (at the time) holiday.

He was soft as, never as good a Graham Dawe, and too scared to put his fancy shirt on and play against Dawe! ^_^

Moore won world player of the year in 1991, so was an excellent player.
Dawe would have won far more caps in today’s game with the crazy substitutes laws where the whole front row gets replaced every time.

Sadly he's too far in the past now for pupils to think my name is cool by association. But at least the rugbyist was cooler than the football commentator as a reference.
