People have been commenting on the advantage of two-round elections: Bolsonaro went from 56mn to 60mn between the first and second rounds, Lula from 54mn to 64mn. Suggests that people either got off their arses for the second round (3mn more voted in the second round) or chose the less worse option.

Ha, AI fail when I asked about the 3mn extra voters... but my suspicion would be that a large proportion of those were prompted to vote by the threat of a Bolsonaro win.

Given the apparent assistance given to Bolsonaro by the likes of Facebook & Musk, and the previous willingness of Lula to rein in X, I'd not be surprised if he puts words into actions, especially as he won't be running again, and so doesn't have much to lose.

Don't care about the ratio but it would be nice to see similarly effective results in Israel and the US over the next 9 days.
