I don’t understand the manufactured indignation about where there was or wasnt a small surplus. Various chancellors have either talked up or talked down a situation for their own benefit.

The chancellor can raise taxes for any reason.

Reeves has said repeatedly we dont need to raise anymore taxes, from last years unprecedented tax raid. She has gone on to fabricate a lie about a black hole to justify a further massive raid for taxes.

She is a lying c**t

I am enjoying Badenoch's indignation about Reeves misleading people about how much better the economy is going than expected.
The inner turmoil. 😂

Exactly, let's move on. I don't remember Nick Robinson going on endlessly about previous Tory budgets. If only he was as intelligent and incisive as he thinks he is.

A teensy weensy reminder that £21bn was lost to covid fraud under the Tories (quite a chunk to their best mates). If Reeves had actually lost £4bn somewhere, I might be a little more exercised than I am.

I wonder what the new attack line will be by Wednesday, once Mason twigs he's not brought down the government.

Because ’the people’ must be told what to be angry about.

Chancellor increases headroom shock!

I’m worrying that I’m missing something, I thought a bit of resilience was a good thing in these times of threat.
