Car Sharing & Car Clubs, The Future?

I am surprised that no one has mentioned (unless I have missed it) the main reason which would put me off Car Sharing ie which dirty individual(s) may have been in it immediately before me, and, what "deposits" may they have left in there.

Many years ago I put in a computer system at one of the really high-end white goods manufacturers and chatting to the Parts Manager he was saying how parts they use are identical to those low end product from other manufacturers use, only difference is you pay vastly more buying it with their name on it (and he was saying that seriously).

As above, car manufacturers are big culprits. VAG - SEAT, Skoda, VW, Audi, Porsche, Lamborghini, Bentley; (probably not complete).
So anyone with a Bentley could well be driving round in a car with the same parts as a SEAT.

So anyone with a Bentley could well be driving round in a car with the same parts as a SEAT.

That will certainly be the case for some parts, although others will be brand specific. For all of their ridiculous retail and maintenance costs, Bugattis include parts from Golfs and their derivatives.

Obviously. But those Bugatti/Golf common parts will have completely different prices, which was the point.

It's possible to argue to the contrary: that Golfs benefit from Bugatti parts.

I'm sure that you could. You'd be wrong though.
I have a Golf and while it is a good car at no point have I commentated on anything being too good, or special.
