Sure, but we're essentially asking the kids to clear up after us.

(I think that's simplistic for too many reasons to address in 140 characters. So for now: )
Kinda. Also:
"If you don't clean up this shoot, you'll be sitting in it your whole lives. And YOUR kids will. And it's only piling higher and getting stinkier ...

It won't help you knowing that you can blame the Boomers

True to "form" I see US is yet again trying to avoid having to actually do anything (beyond being one of the worst polluters)
Fury as US argues against climate obligations at top UN court
Climate justice campaigners have condemned the US after the world’s largest historic greenhouse gas emitter argued against countries being legally obliged to combat the climate crisis. ...

Well Sunak tried that, and it didn't seem to work, did it? If you can afford a new car, you can afford a new EV.
i was partucularly talking about poeple who can't afford a new car. Or need a van with lots if heavy tools in them, an EV van then has quasi no range left.
And considering the sales figures the ''we force EV sales'' route does not work either, hell Volkswagen is almost bankrupt the second biggest car manufacturer.

So what's next? common sense is not in the list right?

Ironically in the same US they have in some states hydrogen fueled cars that are filled up in exactly the same way as petrol cars, but in EV as combustion(alltough the EV version has an clear advantage.)
I don't understand why we don't see it here other then that shell and orders are @rse deep in the charging point companies.

Still does not adress the point that current souluttions are pushed trough with an tunnel vision, same like we did 20 years ago when we pushed ''clean'' diesel and wood pallets, are you seriously surprised poeple don't trust these solutions?

Then they should make better and more competitive EVs. The ID4 is nice but it's the same price as a Tesla Y which is streets ahead technologically. The only advantage it has over Tesla is that it's cheaper to insure, hence a lot of companies providing fleet cars won't include Tesla on the list.

It's because it's crap and inefficient. The US love crap inefficient cars.

Yes they could, but if we then look at the news we see overal EV sales have either plummeted or failed to reach their demand because there isn't any. Hence the reason why amongst others the Vauxhall factory is closing.

For combustion yes, it's indeed inefficient but i would argue if you can get Jack petrolhead to put that in his car instead of petrol it's a win for the climate.
For EV it's like 80% compared to battery, but it also is much lighter. and you dont have the range anxeity. Or like a dutch truck company owner said(who has both) with BEV we need to install charging systems at the costumer and for a full load the truck is about 8hrs stationary. With HEV the truck is busy for a similar period as fuelling up a tank(diesel or petrol) they just need charging points (which in this example he/his company paid for to be installed at his costumers)

Is anyb ody "ioncluding Tesla on their list" these days. Support a far-right oligarch, the only "Free Speech Absolutist" who doesn't like free speech. Seem to be quite a few press articles about which EV to get avoiding Tesla.

Essentially she's right.
Our generation will not make anything like near enough change to halt Climate change. It's our kids who will have to deal with the consequences and the consequences won't be pretty....
