In any case I suspect the Green parliamentary party - such as it is - will do what Labour has done in the past and ignore unwelcome conference votes.

Given that most of those who go to (any) party conferences are at the nuttier fringes of the party that's not a bad thing.

GPEW voters can vote in person at conference or on-line since about 2020 (certainly since Covid).

In which case, it seems an extraordinarily low number of votes (>3000) for such a contentious motion that's had so much publicity, given a membership of 230,000.

Oh yeah, I'd missed this.

Which suggests that of those 230k members, most (about 99%) were either oblivious about what 'their' party was up to, or didn't care enough to vote.

Entryism has been an ongoing problem for GPEW for a few years. In 2015 there was an ejection of new entrants from the Labour party with views that conflicted with party values. Many of those were said to have found there way into the Green Party. There have been many flashpoints.
