Does anybody here take the Greens seriously?

Well that's one way for you to avoid the issue. You carry on.
I'm afraid to tell you that other than the headline, that article has probably been written using Gemini based on other reports. There's no insight in it, it merely states that Andy Burnam said X and Zach Polanski said Y, under an outraged headline.

The intention is for superficial readers to skim it and think oh gosh that's awful, Scotland should leave the UK. Which is what anyone reading it already thinks.

If that's your threshold for journalism, I cant help you.

One tip I can give you is that if the page is 90% adverts and 10% article, the website isn't surviving on the basis of its journalism.

I'm wondering if the Green PArty could be splitting. Or maybe just one "split" migrating to other parties?

Ex-Greens co-leader urges council groups to reject Zionism policy

Ramsay, one of the Greens’ five MPs, said he was pleased that a number of Green council groups had already condemned the policy, which was adopted at the party’s conference and also calls for a single Palestinian state in place of Israel.
...
A series of Green council groups who share power with Labour have already rejected the motion, including Lewes, Warwick, Rother and Havant. Among other groups to have disowned the policy are the Greens in Southwark, who did so to maintain a coalition with the Liberal Democrats.
...,
Green-run or jointly run councils were making a real difference, Ramsay said. “We can’t let this be undermined by a party conference motion which is a distraction from this work, and which I am confident is not supported by most party members.”
And Polanski doubling down insisting we won't change the policy, that it will remain for at least 2 years but he would like to see it amended.

This is the man who was elected to a seat on the committee that was reserved for women.
At some point the Greens will have a rude awakening when the tension between men like him and the recent pro Palestine new party members can't be managed any longer. At the moment he's a useful idiot.

The Scottish Greens are pushing for legal recognition for Polyamory.
The traditional 2 person relationship has legal protections, which aren’t accommodated in a multi party relationship. But I can’t see marriage rights ever extending beyond 2 people.
The absolutely crazy party of the motion is this bit.
“Where immigration rules or laws of asylum involve existing relationships with those already resident or citizens in Scotland those rules should take into account relationships that may involve multiple partners.”

Pushing for more irrelevance.

I'm still wondering how this sentiment (from the Stats for Lefties profile linked above), if it's a fair representation of the current Green Party Policy (as adopted at conference), can ever be helpful for the Green Party as a party trying to make green policies part of mainstream UK politics, surely its raison d'etre. I remain bemused.

The last election, I voted Labour despite the fact that they are neo liberalism light.
Given the latest weaponisation of anti semitism I will find it impossible to vote Labour in the future.
Who knows I may well vote Green despite disagreeing with some of their policies.
I believe the above quote is an an irrelevance - I do have 30 lovers somewhere in northern France.

Brian tires of considered argument, quotes a fringe character he found on the interweb, and goes a bit Nick Robinson.
Take the rose colour spectacles off. This is exactly what I explained earlier. A one stste solution genuinely is what it says, but your numpty green party friends probably have unicorn and rainbows, flowers in their hair peace and harmony in mind.

Even setting aside the total lack of realism, the problem is that other people who are not Cool Aid consumers are making their own mind up about what it means.

It is a debate the Greens simply cannot win.
