Perhaps, I should not admit this but, what the hell.... about 40 years ago, I was working in USA. in the first few days of being there, each day, driving to the office, I went through a junction which was signed "Four Way Stop". I had no idea what the protocol was, and, just drove straight through. After about a week of doing this, I decided to ask one of my American colleagues in the office, what the sign actually meant.
ahem! driving behaviour change required, and duly implemented 😊
Nigh on 40 years ago I was driving from Boston to Cape Cod when a load of signs appeared telling you how to navigate the up coming junction. I just thought seems unusual but just give way to the left. It was obvious on sight to be a roundabout. Easy peasy. They were rare at the time!
