I still think they missed out that whilst that is true, the other more scary issue is that he is the perfect puppet. This time the people around him will know how to play him like a fiddle. How to feed him stuff, make him think something is his idea and get him to sign the paperwork.

This is the scariest thing - first time he started with people around him who knew what they were doing
over time he got rid of them and replaced then with people that were his "type of people"
people he thought would do what he wanted and would tell him things "properly"
this time he will start with these people

and a lot of them have been manoeuvring themselves into place for a year or so
He will hear what he wants to hear in the way he wants to hear it - and everything will comes with an agenda that he won;t realise

I am currently watching a "not too bad" Sci-Fi series called Continuum where a few people travel back in time to stop the future
etc etc etc - standard stuff

but the future they are trying to stop (at the start at least) is basically Musk's wet dream of a future
total control of "citizens" by a large company and a population forced to comply for the good of society AKA the good of the company that IS society
with all "citizens controlled and monitored by a chip in their head

Actually the reverse. Everyone thought he was going to lose. The win took them entirely by surprise as a result of which his support staff were largely fire fighting and trying to figure out how to get him to actually do the job he was supposed to be doing. It took them a while before they realised that they needed to feed him information via twitter and Fox news to get him to do what needed to be done.

This time, the people around him have been planning for 5 years.

WHich makes me more worried about what Musk wants than Donald

and I think the aims of Musk might be far more insidious and intrusive

Musk invested around $200 million in Trump for a return so far of around $200 billion that's a 100 fold increase in his investment not a bad return. That's what he want's the power his wealth can bring him and the politicians he can buy and control to his advantage.

Someone has crashed a Tesla Cyber Truck full of fireworks into a Trump hotel building In Vegas.
Not a very subtle protest, but the interpretation seems quite clear.
The driver died and apparently hired the truck that day.

I don't think they crashed it. They parked up and lit the fuse...

From inside... the driver is dead.

This photo does kinda sum up the current political shitshow, though.

The driver has been identified as a serving US soldier.

Just seen RIchard Tice commenting on Musk comments about rape gangs etc etc

He said that as Musk has paid a lot of tax in this country then he should be listened to

err - not really
the concept of a democracy is that everyone has an equal say and how much tax they pay is irrelevant
He really does seem to think that if you pay more tax - in numbers not percentage - then you get more say

It doesn;t work like that - not here anyway

Well, we could always introduce the reverse, ie, those who avoid paying their taxes are silenced ;)

What he really meant was Musk is going to give Reform Limited £millions which will further enhance his and Nigel's bank balance and therefore he is allowed to spread his truth however he wants.
