Sure, you just try it. I know from personal experience and from others. Business will almost always spoil a friendship

By all means go for it đź‘Ť
I've. long history working in business (finishing last 10 years as a director of a plc). I stand by what I said based on many years experience.

Have you run your own business or worked as an employee. Different mindset

I do run my own small business. Im self employed.

I treat my suppliers with respect and occasionally they will call me with marked down offers. I know for a fact that they don't do that with everybody.

I don't know, maybe not acting like a dĂŻck head and treating people like humans and not objects to exploit has helped...

But i am just a small business...

Yes he is successful, he's had several business failures. Sign of determination to pick yourself up and start again.
  • Hyatt Grand Central - Trump purchased and refurbished with $140mil of other people's money in 1979. He sold his stake in it for ÂŁ140mil in 1996. Fail
  • Plaza Hotel - Trump purchased with loans again. The hotel went bankrupt in 1992. The banks seized it in 1995 as he defaulted on loans (the default was $3bn - the banks involved agreed to debt restructuring that meant Trump wasn't bankrupt) Fail
  • Trump International Hotel and Tower Chicago - again used to defraud the IRS and has significant debt - Partial Success
  • Trump Tower - built by trump. Has a $100mil mortgage Fail
  • Trump Building 40 Wall Street - lease purchased for $8 million. Trump has valued the building as being worth $1bn. Bloomberg estimate half that. He spent $35mil refurbishing and tried to sell for $400mil but had no buyers. He dodged $355 million of tax by telling tax officials it was worth $16million and is still being pursued for now $500mil of debt owed to the New York Courts who have threatened to seize the property. Fail
  • Atlantic City Casinos Fail
    • Harrah's - lost $70 mil had to pay someone to take over Fail
    • Trump castle - bankrupt 1992 Fail
    • Trump Taj Mahal - bankrupt - sold his yacht and airline to cover the debt Fail
    • Trump entertainment resorts - went bankrupt - Fail
  • Mar a Lago - purchased for $10mil after aggressively forcing the owner out of business. Now worth $300mil although again used to cheat taxes by misvaluing it. Property is financially solvent Win!!
  • New Jersey Generals (Football League) - folded after Trump tried to force it to schedule at the same time as the NFL Fail
  • Tour de Trump - lasted 6 years before Trump withdrew sponsorship Fail
  • Eastern Air Lines Shuttle - closed after defaulting on loans Fail
  • Miss Universe - lasted 19 years but was dropped after Trump made racist comments about Mexicans. Semi-Win
  • Trump University - founded in 2004 it was a scam later taken to court as it was neither a University nor accredited for any of its courses. Lawsuits were settled for $25 million. It went out of business in 2011 due to lawsuits. Fail
  • Donald J Trump Foundation - a charity misused by Trump. Closed in 2018 due to lawsuits and penalties. Fail
  • Turnberry resort - failing (not profitable) Fail
  • Trump Coco Beach Puerto Rico - bankrupt 2015 Fail
  • Trump INternational, Doonbeg - Failing
  • Trump International, Dubai - not completed. Currently on hold.
  • ACN Inc - a Trump promoted MLM. Scheduled for trial - joint lawsuit against Trump, DOn Jr, Ivanka and Eric for fraud and racketeering - Fail
He has lost wealth through entering politics.
No - he has leveraged politics to gain wealth. That's why Mar a Lago isn't bankrupt yet

Arnold Swarzenegger lost hundreds of millions in missed earnings from film deals being governor of California.
You don't understand the difference between not taking on work and losing money on existing work.
Those who point out the failures of others are mostly those who have failed in life personally.
Or those who can see the failures because they are massively well documented.

Elon Musk has lost money, he thinks it's worth it.
Not on aggregate he hasn't.
