As I was saying about the Salvadorian president & the press conference... this is spot on. The aim is to show Trump can defy any court orders and be an absolute ruler & king.

It'll be interesting to see how this plays out, given a few universities and big legal firms have already given into the threats. Well done Harvard - I reckon this will end up in the Supreme Court very soon. My prediction is that Trump will bring a wave of legal and financial wrecking balls to try to bring them into line, but one hopes that they've run the likely scenarios and have the legal framework and financial reserve to face Trump down.

You were watching a different discussion to the one I saw

You really do believe fairy tales and live in lala land.
Every single western political journalist, and every western diplomat who isn't part of Donnie's cult, called it for what it was. It was two bullies humiliating the leader of a country that has been invaded by an evil dictator.
Only a thick moron could see it differently.

"President Zelensky andCrooked Joe Biden did an absolutely horrible job in allowing this travesty to begin".

Not a word of criticism of Putin for actually invading Ukraine in the first case.

Perhaps he really believes his pal Putin would have listened to him and not invaded.

There is a debate to be had about whether Ukraine should have been allowed to believe they could join NATO and Putin's worries about the threat on Russia's borders but the fact is that Russia's borders have never been crossed by the country's neighbours since WW2, whether NATO members or not, unlike the other way round. Dictators like Putin need to continue to persuade their people they are under threat and that he is the only one who can guard their interests...a bit like the tactics of Trump.

Why when USA has lower import duties than most. USA is clearly penalised with trade barriers.

Trump wants to rebalance US trade
The average EU tariff on the US was about 2.5% last year, and vice versa about 1.5%.

Is that 1% the problem? Or is it more a problem of large shoot cars that do t even handle well in a straight line, and food with too much corn syrup and steroids?

These are some of the tariffs imposed

Agriculture: Up to 25% on certain U.S. products like dairy, meat, and grains due to strict EU standards.

Automotive: 10% on U.S. cars, compared to the U.S.’s 2.5% on EU cars, a frequent U.S. complaint.

Textiles and apparel: Rates between 8-12% on U.S. clothing and footwear.

Simple solution. Stop trying to export substandard food.

The US failed to agree the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership with the EU, which would have eliminated this tariff. The USA therefore gets the same tariff as any other non-EU nation.

See above.

Of course none of that matters at all. The EU doesn't import American cars because they are crap and don't fit our roads. They don't import American clothes and footwear because they are made in China, not in America. TTIP would have eliminated their tariff on those foods the EU does import such as soybeans. They didn't want to do that.

The main export from the US to the EU is soybeans. Billions of dollars worth. The EU and China both import those huge volumes. Guess what, you can get soybeans from Brazil, Argentina, Canada and Paraguay. I'm sure Brazil's prices will have gone up due to demand, but as long as they undercut the moron in the White House, they can coin it in.

You mean you don't like chlorinated chicken, milk that might as well be white water and beef pumped full of hormones?!
