I would agree with you.
According to Pam Bondi, Garcia had a "significant role" in alien smugling rings and was involved in trafficking weapons and narcotics. If it was so important to arrest him, then why was it not done before he was deported? State Troopers stopped Garcia for a trafic violation back in 2022, but there was no mention of human trafficking in their report and a drug search dog found nothing.

Americans perception of a Democrat or Liberal is our right of centre. They have never had a left wing administration.
Musk hasn't got a snowflakes chance in hell of forming a 'centrist' govt. unless he generates a Tsunami of populism (and he is toxic to many - 99% of the more 'Liberal' electorate?) and those god fearing Christians must look at his drug use with total contempt. There won't be sufficient numbers of existing politicians willing to cross over - if any, bar a few whacko's. Without which, he couldn't even form what we call a shadow cabinet. This smacks of Reform - might just take votes away but won't ever form a govt.
It comes over as Musk thinking he is all powerful but the truth is, he is living in an autistic, blind bubble.

It won't get anybody elected (Musk has no charisma and is increasingly unpopular, particularly as DOgy impacts become felt).
It will be call "X" (maybe "X Party") which will be associated with a business and business interests rather than representing the people.
It won't be centrist it will be right wing so will take votes from Republicans and on tight margins Republicans will lose as their vote is split a bit).
