It would really help if the liberal metropolitans stopped calling those less educated as themselves as 'thickos'.
It shows a real ignorance of the situation those less well off have found themselves in over the last 30 years.

Just 30 years? This is a can of worms suitable for a thread of it's own.
If you like, Read Blyton and Turnbull's Dynamics of the employee relationship. You will not come away from the text with any bias towards management, the Unions or the Govt.. What you will surmise is sheer incompetence (and complacency) of management, the militancy of Unions and governments who didn't create policies that were conducive to industry. We still maintain corporate snort termism, we still have boards of directors made up of individuals without legislative structure, we still have a 'them and us' culture in the workplace...
I'll stop there.

They going to be disappointed (and possibly physically ill) when they find it’s Donnie’s home video collection

...or Hegseth's undercover alcohol procurement or Mike Johnson's liaisons with a man (or men?) with 'luxurious hair' in hotel rooms*...

*I kid you not. Nothing homophobic about that comment BTW. It's just the sheer hypocricy of people spouting the virtues of Christianity and gays being 'evil' but behind doors...

Back OT. [BTW - that video posted above is worth a watch as it exposes some unbelievable things going on behind closed doors (and belief systems). Moses Mike's 'room mate' (Johnson is married with children) is a Pastor who said that the Covid vaccine was a satanic plot and told this to he WHO. He is an advisor to Johnson. Don't just just skip it, it contains court depositions and posts and is not plucked out of the air (@briantrumpet - besides i'm not your sekertary and i'm not going to extract all the info just because you have some prejudice regarding the accents of the commentators in the video so watch it and you can glean some insights into the crazy gang), ]

Trump (on Lie social) about Mandani:

As president of the United States, I am not going to let this Communist lunatic destroy New York. Rest assured, I hold all the levers, and have all the cards. I'll save New York City and i'll make it "Hot" and "Great" again, just like I did with the Good Ol' USA.

[all grammatical errors, quotation marks and odd use of capitals are his]

No, I posted a few short responses to people suggesting that Reform voters were thick. Rather than entering into tit for tat and point scoring (apart from Orraloon who deserves it) I thought I'd try to illicit some constructive replies. If you think my asking one simple question is relentlessly pursuing you for evidence then I can't help you. FWIW I agree that political fund raising needs a coat of looking at, not convinced on PR however.

Watch out, Brian will trumpet his followers, call for you to be placed on ignore

Exactly the same for Reform voters. The majority of whom are low income or on benefits.
The grifters and the right wing press are very good at manipulating people who don’t or won’t actually engage in critical thinking.
Then enact policies that will directly impact their own voters.

I thought the perceived wisdom was that the "swing" to Reform was predominantly disgruntled Conservatives? I had no idea that so many former Conservative voters were on benefits and/or low income.

I think that that Labour gave up on it's working class base in pursuit of votes from well off metropolitan liberals and the Conservatives were just really shît and fuücked everything up. So Reform have filled the gap. Whether they will deliver for their voters remain a to be seen (probably not) but if I was an unemployed welder in Middlesborough and I'd been let down and ignored by Labour and the Conservatives for decades I'd probably think Farage was worth a punt.

No doubt there will be longer explanations, with surveys and graphs etc, but, I would say you have put very succinctly 😂

It’s the red wall, working class traditional Labour voters, who have been abandoned by the middle class woke Labour Party.
Lee Anderson is a typical example. Former Labour politicians.
But Labour are caught between trying to keep them happy whilst also keeping their left wing factions happy too. It’s an impossible conundrum.

'Trump insider blows lid off tariffs - It's all fake'
Apparently Trump said that it was 'good television'.

“You have wins. Take them,” as the White House insider put it to Politico. “You only have to assume he doesn’t want to take them because he likes the game too much.”

Ivanka Trump's 'super lawyer' who kept her out of trouble, flips.

Abbe Lowell—who once repped Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump—says he’s “never been more concerned” about Donald Trump’s second-term power-grabs.

Unfortunately, the same demographic has already given Boris a punt. You know what they say about the definition of stupidity, it is doing the same thing and expecting a different outcome.

Because voting Labour and Conservative worked out so well for them.
It will be worth revisiting this thread in a couple of years time. It's easy to sneer at the "thickos who saw their jobs in engineering and manufacturing wiped out and sent offshore and who then saw whatever incomes they then ended up with being undercut by cheap labour from a massive influx of migrant workers. I wonder which political party will speak up for the soon to be unemployed middle class professional types who hang out on cycling forums when the AI revolution has really taken hold and wiped out swathes of well paid white collar jobs?
