As I have said, it is possible to whip them up into a frenzy and for them to amalgamate. The insurrection is an example but I think the seeds of doubt have been sowed in the MAGA base and I do not think they are as vociferous as they were.

I don't know why so many Republicans in office still tow the line. At least he suggested further talks including Zelensky (and that they could decide if they wanted him present) but Friday is a long way away with plenty of chances to change his mind.
