All such deaths are a needless tradgedy but when he [Kirk] said
I think he meant deaths of other people are worth it ie he's excluded from his surmise. Maybe part of the reason for US gun madness that it's "other people" and when it isn't you then start a campaign.

That figures. My guess is that he's a disgruntled maga/qanon type maybe ex-army - those people are batshit crazy, maybe didn't like Kirk's u-turn on the epstein files or something like that.
