Kimmel, Colbert, Stewart, Meyers and Fallon et al cheer me up give me some hope for the sanity of America.

Even Ted Cruz seems to have seen an opportunity in calling for moderation.

The initial reason they complained about Kimmel was supposedly their perception that he was disrespectful to Kirk yet now Trump is posting about how lucrative it will be to go after ABC for reinstating him. Do his supporters not see these glaring double standards that he has written for himself?

So it is understandable that people have a go at wealthy people who also happen to be ar*eholes…because they are generally higher profile and more often in the news than poor people who are ar*eholes.

There are many billionaires who do not get the same criticism as Musk and Trump…because they generally do not use their platform for ar*eholery.

Simple concept to understand.

Do you think that that the ageing socialists of CCNCAP would be taking aim at these people if they were just peanuts but not rich?

Then see my point above about envy.

My point is that they were extremely rich and because of that have a platform that they are keen to use to show what ar*eholes they are. There are over 1000 billionaires in the US and UK and the huge majority of them get no flak on this or any other forum.

If those you named were ar*eholes and poor the people on here would be unlikely to have heard of them

That they are extremely rich might be an additional element to some in their dislike but it is not the cause of that dislike. "Envy" is just a red herring used by people like you and our tame MAGAT to detract from their ar*eholery. Charlie Kirk, JD Vance and Farage were/are nowhere near as rich as the people you named and they were/are also disliked by many for their ar*eholery not their wealth.

Except in your polarised viewpoint it is not just socialists who dislike Trump and Musk, and I am not aware of many socialists on this forum.

Ah yes, the Trump card of calling anyone you disagree with 'socialists'. Might as well add "and you smell" while you're at it.

So farmers vote for Trump, get hammered by tariffs, lose shedloads of money, and go to the Whitehouse for state handouts. That's socialism, isn't it?

Some very good points, well made but be aware:
Sealioning is a form of online harassment where someone persistently asks disingenuous or bad-faith questions, demanding evidence and justification, while pretending to be sincerely seeking to understand. This behaviour is a type of trolling designed to exhaust, frustrate, and disrupt conversations rather than engage in a genuine debate.
The poster isn't even aware that this is what he is doing. and spins the same old mantra like some poor demented soul barrelling on one's elbow. If you have a pop at a wealthy individual, it's because you're jealous.
I mean Elon Musk is c*nt who's funding far right organisations including that utter shyte Farage; the brown tongued eegit (who was on LBC yesterday trying his best to avoid denigrating the orange idiot after the idiot UN speech) and I see no critical discourse from Mr 666.
He seems to sit on a precarious fence. He wants to '"go and wind up some lefties". He's said that more than once.
He refuses to comment on some pretty glaring/obvious/proven facts and shows little empathy.
If it doesn't affect him, he finds it difficult to understand when others are concerned. It is what it is and you just better get on with it. I did alright, i'm from the NE and I made it in the city bosh bosh Harry Enfield/Norman Tebbit style.
...oh, and I will be labelled envious with that comment, such is his 2 dimensional view.

The people who I revere are say workers for Nedicin sans Frontier or aid workers on the front line in whatever war zone, or conservationists battling against people, pollution, exploitation and climate change. The people Mr 666 revere's are those who made it despite most of them making it because they are ruthless and often lack moral fibre.
There are insufficient numbers of philanthropic ultra rich sadly.

When you a have a person who thinks so many successful people are peanuts, are most likely a loser in life.

Its OK, somebody has to be a loser :okay:

Polarised on what basis?

Simply pointing out that the reason they get stick is because they are very rich (and clearly well known). There are plenty of peanuts who are well known but not extremely wealth who don't attract the ire of our resident socialists and lefties. Go figure.
