I don't suppose they will, but the NTHP ought to threaten to sue contractors that have aided and abetted Trump, as a way of indicating that there can be consequences in taking the Organge Shitgibbon's dime: it was clearly an illegal demolition under all sorts of statutes, which the most cursory research would have indicated, and they were/are accessories.

Oh, they ought to be forced to rebuild it exactly as was. Pretty much anything is possible, if you've seen what they did with Dresden Cathedral.

I expect Trump will counter-sue the National Trust for Historic Preservation for $100bn for hurty feelings.

It will be very interesting to see how he responds. He has said that he respects the decisions of the SC, but perhaps he assumed they would always do what he wants.

Will he place himself above the SC? If so that will be another slide down the slippery slope to autocracy.

Not quite Andy - the BBC have admitted they doctored the clips.
They have refuted the claim that Mr Orange thin Skin sugffered any harm (defamation) or financial loss as a result.
The programme was not available to be seen in the US.
The election was still won.

Why have two senior executives resign if no harm had been done.

He could try and tie all the lawfare costs subsequently to his losses

Missed this - SC issues emergency injunction halting work on Trump's Royal ballroom:

I believe there are also concerns about asbestos.
The orange rapist went for the cheapest non union company. As I understand it, there were limited, even by US standards, workers rights and few if any, pre demolition checks.
So potentially, all of the workers and all of those who went to gawp at what was taking place, were exposed to asbestos and who knows what other toxic substances.
Trump himself has historically downplayed the health risks associated with asbestos.

Expendable workers. I suppose the only downside is that they might have been white; with brown or black skin they'd have been even more expendable in Trump's eyes. As long as his gets his Louis XVI ballroom, he doesn't care.

Then he will screw the contractor.
Delays in completion, not following city ordanance, finding hazardous material they should have known about. One can see the list of excuses being compiled already.

What was done was wrong and the BBC has admitted and apologised for that

There was no harm to Trump (it was not even shown in the US), and they rightly resigned because of the harm that was done to the reputation of the BBC on their watch.

He could, and probably will, try a lot of things, but what exactly were his losses...definitely not his reputation, and not financial.
