You do have rights to bear arms, but expect the other side to have reciprocal defences
That I was not arguing with, I was merely answering your question of why someone would take a gun (although it still doesn't fully answer the actual 'why', in terms of the thinking, I will admit).

Regardless though, of whether it was a 'Peaceful Protest', or as was said upthread earlier, a trip to the Supermarket or the football (a notion that seems very odd indeed in this country... Taking a gun I mean), he had the right to have a gun, misguided as it may have been.
At least the SS had stylish uniforms. ICE agents look like they're cosplaying at being police/in the army.
I remember going through a brief period of collecting military figurines and the Nazis' always had the best looking stuff! 😆

Hugo Boss designed it.

Hugo Boss designed it.

I remember in the shop, there was a big display of Blackshirts (etc) with the flags and so on, saluting Hitler who was in an open topped car.

Visually, nothing else came close!

I collected Napoleonic War Highlander figures, being Scottish and all (there was no specific reason as to why them, they just kinda' appealed to me visually).

- I just hope all of this will not be OUR Waterloo!

A superb photo (Gemini says the photographer was Rudy Rucker) of a legendary seller of comics and books in Minneapolis, Greg Ketter: he's 70 years old, and braving ICE and their tear gas to protest about what they are doing.

In fact the photo is by Theia Chatelle - Gemini got it wrong. The person who shared the original photo without credit replied to my comment asking whose it was. I think with one of this quality, it's important to credit the photographer, as it's much more than just a casual social media snap.
