I'm normally in favour of 100% transparency but releasing thousands of pages wholesale, including uncorroborated anonymous phoned in claims, will make people disregard everything. I don't see how this helps Epstein's genuine victims; their allegations will end up being given the same weight as malicious claims or gossip.
It would have been better just to release Epstein's emails, which do shed some light on his relationships with others. For example, hard to believe Mandelson didn't have £3k to pay his boyfriend's course fees but you can see how in paying them Epstein used his money to build a sense of obligation from those he helped, whether it was course fees, supplying Andrew with women, or supporting Sarah Feguson's business.
