'Sectioning' is really a horrible thing, particularly if it's done completely against the wishes of the 'sectionee', and quite rightly has a very high bar, especially where it involves forced medication or other treatment in order to safeguard the health or wellbeing of the individual or members of the public.

I had hopes till I found out that the (president-appointed) cabinet has to agree he's away with the fairies before anyone else even gets a look in. Doesn't seem much of a safeguard really.

I made a very unfortunate observation once, when some student had got very drunk, collapsed on the local railway line late one night (everyone knew something was going on, as the police helicopter was overing for ages) , and ended up losing both her legs when the train ran over them. Let's just say that the phrase I used to describe her drunken state was unintentionally utterly tasteless.

No one is surprised, but these things need to be called out again and again. Otherwise we just sit there and take it.

Vance was vehemently against any war with Iran prior to recent events.
Kind of puts him in a pickle. Or, hedging his bets on Donnie being kicked out.
