Yes, you would have thought Both of them would have learned something from earlier "excursions" (Vietnam, Afghanistan, for example).

The sad thing is, the reasons may change, we see similar post every elections, different words different parties but let's not pretend the democrats are that much better.
It hard to get something worse then Trump, but Trump didn't get to power twice becuase the democrats did and great Job, did they? I'm pretty convinced Trump wouldn't stand a chance if he would be Running against Obama for example.
