This is the interesting thing now about Trump's cognitive decline: I don't think he knows he's making shit up, it's just what his brain does to feed his narcissism. There's no gain in his making up this lie about Sharpies.

I wondered this, whether it was not a lie but a completely false memory stemming from cognitive decline, as you say. It would certainly seem to account for a lot of the completely bizarre stuff he comes out with.

He's not dead, he's just having a snooze in the middle of a cabinet meeting. Bloody tedious those cabinet meetings.
One thing does strike me. if he does pop his clogs looking like that, he'll be 'embalmed ready'.
They will probably have to vent the coffin due to gas leaks though. Elf n safety and all that. It would be a pity of there was an explosion and the remains of the WH was to get totalled unless the rest of his cabinet was inside at the time... oh the thoughts going through my head...

At the best of times the brain has the tendency (in all of us) to elaborate memories of things that have happened to us (not least in making our part in them increasingly consequential in each recounting), even to the extent of (sometimes) recounting stuff other people have done as having happened with us there. Annoyingly, our brains don't tell us that they aren't reliable rapporteurs. Dementia obviously multiplies the tendency. With most people, it's not as consequential as with Trump, and you can just nod along and say "Oh really? That must have been interesting!!" and move the discussion onto what they had for lunch. I suspect that everyone around Trump is having to do this, but knowing that he's burning the world to the ground all the while.

I do indeed, and have posted one or two Youtube bits here. I suspect that the Spitting Image folk might have been slightly less vicious had they realised that it was the early signs of Alzheimers they were documenting.

Yes but look at all the money he has brought in from tariffs and how great he stock market is at 50 thousand and how the cost of living is down and gas is cheap. He's done so much for the country, I think he has the right to play golf 5 days a week because without him, America wouldn't be what it is now because if the Democrats were in, it would be destroyed as they let all the illegal gangs and rapists in who were murdering people in the street and eating cats and dogs, I mean look at how peaceful Washington since he sorted the crime out that sleepy Joe ignored and how beautiful that ballroom is going to be. I mean, for 500 years the Whitehouse has always needed a ballroom which he signed it off with a Sharpie - the best pen ever invented.
Shut up piggy,. You know Blazing Saddles - you're just the worst forum commentator ever, they should revoke your membership, you're such a horrible guy.

Do you moonlight as speech writer in the White House?
