As much as anything just somewhere I can carry on sniping, now we're nine years after the vote, and folk can speculate on how the UK-EU relationship will evolve. Others might be happy to be able to avoid it, if they can resist the temptation.

Anyway, Brexit benefits...

Its sad that people are so obsessed with trying to prove Brexit was or was not a mistake/ bad .

Its 9 years ago, its happened. You can't turn the clock back, so stop looking back.

Look forward and if that is a future in the EU, then campaign for that, ie the future, not the past

Bemoaning what has or has not happened is a negative approach and helps no one

It applies in all walks of life. Yes, the plane crash in India was terrible, but its no use saying what if the pilot did this or what if different maintenance had happened. None of that will bring back the dead or heal the injured. We need to learn lessons so these issues do not arise again

I mean, you literally could reapply in the unlikely event that you realised leaving the EU was collossally stupid.

So just discussing something means you are 'obsessed'? There's no point in burying your head in the sand and ignoring the damage brexit has caused, and people should be informed about it. The pro-brexit campaign was pretty negative, telling us how awful the EU and foreigners are.
Yes, if you fall into a hole, what's the point in trying to get out. You should just try and make the best of your new life in the hole. You can't un-crash the plane, but brexit could be reversed.

Probably just as well those wishing to prevent future plane crashes do actually investigate what happened and why. And at this time in international relations, it would probably be no bad thing if governments looked back at the folly of the Suez crisis, for instance. Ditto Brexit, which is still costing us.

To be fair your last paragraph is rather contradictory. You say no use looking back or questioning mistakes but then say we need to learn lessons so issues do not arise again. That literally involves looking at past mistakes to learn from them.

You can delete the qualifier "rather".
