Five Brexit betrayals.
1. The EU wanting a Farage clause if we rejoin. Rejoining isn't happening and if it did that would be completely rational. Apparently both Labour and the Tories are guilty of betrayal, but maybe not all those nice Tories who've jumped ship to Reform or Boris who's backing the express campaign.
2. Rejoining Erasmus - you could say that mostly benefits the posher kids, but I know ordinary working class kids who've benefitted. The beef appears to be that foreign youth can come over here. Pure xenophobia.
3. We haven't got control of our borders. That's post Brexit folks. Brexit didn't bring us that benefit.
4. Fishing fleet stabbed in the back if a new deal is signed. So there is no new deal agreed, the Express doesn't know what a deal will entail.
I seem to remember a lot of discontent from shellfish exporters post Brexit - they might like some of the Brexit 'red tape' removed.
On the other hand keeping factory fishing fleets away from our shores is possibly one of the few benefits of Brexit.
5. Not sure what five is, something about being dragged back into Brussels orbit maybe. Probably meeting EU standards if we want to export there.
Perhaps one of our pro-Brexit residents can find some coherence in the Express stance and correct my limited understanding.
