I have not fact checked this, but I read the EU is being much more generous with visas for Indians.
I imagine that's because they can. It won't attract the same number of immigrants and isnt as politically difficult.
Possibly a UK Brexit benefit

Too early, or too late?

The report finds that the Government’s growth framework – built around restoring stability, increasing investment and reforming the economy – is sensible on paper, but delivery has been uneven. Important progress has been made with new fiscal rules, planning reform and public investment, yet delivery has often been too cautious given the scale of the challenge. The report argues that bolder action is now required in three areas where the growth payoff is largest: trade policy, housing supply and labour-market participation. Without sharper choices and faster progress in these areas, the UK risks remaining stuck in a low-growth equilibrium despite the emerging ‘green shoots’ in the data.

Sorry for being thick, but is the positive % a fall in real terms per capita GDP? If so it needs to go into the bad graphs thread.

Here's GDP per capita. Again the US dominating although Italy has done well too.

They got more than they wanted (initially Farage, Hannan and co were talking about staying in the Single Market and Customs Union) under a Tory government with an 80-set majority, and yet... now they want a 'proper' one, whatever that means. We knew that as long as Europe is next door, and now coping OK without the UK in it, they'd carry on moaning for all eternity.
