Indeed. My bone marrow donor.

Long post soz but it has relevance to Fagrash and Trump. Skip if it's tl:dr.

He goes to the US frequently (lives in NZ) and was going on 'missions' to which it was never explained to me for and on behalf of whom. I suppose the obvious answer was 'it's for 'God' but that doesn't tell me which particular sect.
Last visit, he bought a second hand V8 Merc (with my assistance) and then proceeds to drive all over the US and finishing in Toronto? So I presume he paid for gas, hotels and motels too. Boy didn't they recruit well.
Post this visit, he sends me an email saying what Hegseth said in Munich was right and that he was deeply concerned about our family's safety and the future of the UK with how we (UK) are being taken over by grooming gangs and that they should bomb the 'boat people' 'cos that will put them off' and they would stop coming.
Then I get a link to an Andrew Tate YT video post his Bulgarian release by the Donnie Dump fascists. I watched it. The first 10 minutes is very articulate, measured and plausible before it went off into unapologetic fascism using the initial base. You can see the draw in it but you can also see what's been dubbed as 'intellectual whitewashing'. Kirk did this. The Thiel's do this. You can see Fagash doing it. It's a theme.
But my brother is autistic, though never officially diagnosed as one (and you dare not suggest it). I have an autistic daughter and the traits in my brother are glaring. He's very intelligent but the autism has caused a life long problem with personal relationships and has always been drawn into conspiracy theories including the idea that Jews run the world. In the sphere of the genocide in Israel, the Epstein files, APAC and it's involvement in US politics both left (Democrats) and right, there is a small semblance of truth about it and 'world' is a stretch, it but that doesn't justify fascism as justification for extremist views.
So brother is in the Nick Fuentes camp, not the Jon Shapiro camp if you like.

I'm sorry to hear that, it's really not easy. My brother (diagnosed with Autism) has gone down a left wing path with that kind of indoctrination.

I treated your original post as humour. I hadn't realised that behind your remark was genuine sadness. I apologise for that, and wish for speedy restoration in your family however that might arrive.

You have no reason to apologise and I wasn't expecting one though I appreciate the sentiment and FWIW, I cannot see it being reconciled.
It presents a window into the minds of the easily converted.

I think that generous of you, and I thank you for it.

More waffle on the passport subject.

The whining from people who elected to become Spanish knowing it meant they were legally required to give up their British citizenship is particularly annoying. Firstly, its not the UK's responsibility to worry about their illegal actions in Spain. Secondly, they need to show their British passport to the airline, not Spanish immigration, so they wouldn't be caught - this happens a lot in the rest of the world.

Also, airlines are highly likely to accept different names. Airlines routinely ignore missing middle names by way of example. Alternatively, they could go wild and book the plane tickets in their British names. Then they may face the same problem arriving in the EU, so they can blame the EU.

The passport office will also accept that it is not possible to have the same name in both passports and add a note in the British passport saying that the person is also known by the other name in the other passport. The applicant just needs to add a letter to their application explaining the situation. This has been normal practice for a long while now.

Perhaps I am being dense (it has been known) but, if they have "become" Spanish and given up their British passport, how do the have two passports? If, on the other hand, they have "pretended" to be Spanish, but, retained their British Passport (and, probably their UK registered car, in Spain), thus allowing them to nip back to the UK for a spot of NHS treatment, or whatever, then, how do they have a Spanish Passport?

They told Spain that on naturalisation, they will renounce their British citizenship. This is because Spain doesn't accept dual citizenship in most cases. They have then not renounced their UK citizenship and the Spanish authorities don't know because the British don't tell them, and the Spanish authorities didn't ask for proof.

This is actually quite common. Often, someone (e.g. a Spaniard) acquires a second citizenship (e.g. British) and their is no way for the country of the original citizenship to know. That said, some embassies are sneaky and ask for the proof on renewing a passport abroad that the person has not acquired citizenship. This used to cost hundreds of pounds in the UK, but I see it is now a bargain at £27. The work around is renew the passport in the home country, or whine to the Guardian.

Yet more evidence of the outside influence in our democracy. Yet, people like Johnson and Farage have, and continue to tell us, that the real harm to our democratic process is lefties/refugees/experts etc. This lot are all up to their necks in it and yet we still have a media that is complicit by their absence in digging up all the sh!t on them. It's funny how there is only a single letter difference between "patriot" and "traitor".
