So you would want to see them go to prison as soon as they return to the UK? Interesting. Do they not get a say in the matter?
Let's look at it, likely dead or suspended prison sentence

Yet when the UK responded to the US invoking NATO Article 5, we didn't quibble about need, didn't consult popularity polls. We honoured our treaty to the full extent, helping the US without hesitation. Interesting that that was the only time NATO Article 5 has ever been invoked by any member.Starmer has no backing whatsoever of the British youth to go and fight in a foreign war.

Different time, there is not the allegiance anymore. No one will go to war for Starmer
Well clearly you won't as you are a yellow bellied conchie as my dearly departed grandfather would have said.
Luckily for you, I suspect that conscientious objectors would still be allowed to avoid conscription provided that they could justify this to a tribunal as they did in WW2.
I wish you well in the trenches, keep you head down, you may be one of lucky ones to come home with only PTSD and all limb still attached.
Such an awful statement made by a tragically sad man.
If you think going to war is a walk in the park, say so.
The reality is, it will forever change a person, not for the good. The trauma will haunt them probably for the rest of their life
Both of those things are true. People don't go to war for kicks and giggles. They go because it is needed. They fight to ensure that their families have a future, that their children are protected etc. You don't wait for an aggressor to get to your front door in the hope that they go away.If you think going to war is a walk in the park, say so.

No sane person hopes for war, or entertains the possibility of being involved in one. If it is necessary to become involved then that is what happens. People do what is needed.
