You would expect someone representing a medical charity to have some expertise in the area. Steph Richards is a man. He has no experience of women's health issues, including endometriosis and the distressing and painful issues it causes. He has no medical qualifications or medical sector experience either. His entire career in the charity sector has been trans activism via his own business/charity Translucent.

The woman who runs this small endometriosis charity is a good friend of his and a pro trans advocate. She had previously appointed Richards as CEO of the charity in 2023. He stepped down after the outcry. This latest job was another vanity appointment because Richards is her pal and a vain man whose main concern is his own high profile. It had everything to do with his trans activism and nothing to do with women's health.

If you look at the people involved in say Prostate Cancer UK, including the women, they have lengthy experience in either the medical field or in medical charities, or they are office staff so their sex is irrelevant. They aren't ambassadors for the charity with a public role.

In short, this is an attention man seeking validation and an opportunity to further his trans activism.

I don't understand why that person should be disqualified from representing a charity dealing with women's issues

The reply to the tweet seems to be implying that a biological female couldn't represent a prostate charity? That can't be right?

Like Laura Kerby you mean?

Laura Kerby...

"She’s worked in health and wellbeing for over two decades .... She’s held various senior leadership positions in private healthcare businesses and was an Executive Board member at Nuffield Health, the largest not for profit in the UK.

She’s led two national cancer charities, Penny Brohn UK and Myeloma UK ...

Her dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer four years ago and she’s driven to ensure future lives aren’t shortened or limited by prostate cancer...."

..... sounds like a well qualified candidate with lengthy experience in both the medical field and the medical charity field.

You couldn't even be arsed to get the woman's name right.

That's a bit naughty, Andy. You read my post about you getting her name wrong then went back and edited your post. Which is fine, but don't fib about it. Lol.

Nah. 6 minutes between you posting her wrong name and me posting. Then 3 minutes after I posted you're saying you didn't get her name wrong. You corrected after you saw my post.

What was the purpose of drawing attention to her anyway? Cos to me it looks like you're saying if she can head a male cancer charity a trans identifying man can be an ambassador for a condition that affects only women. The difference in her qualifications for the job vs his are huge.

Weird thing to be picking me up on, but I'd done that the little "Edited" tag would have shown up. It does after a couple of minutes. Whatever.

All I'm saying is that anyone can be a CEO or an Ambassador, it really doesn't matter, unless they start pushing an agenda, which as far as I know, Richards hasn't.
