That's one very strange person...and I'm not talking about Linehan, who, while I don't always like his views on gender, was(is) a writer of brilliant comedies.

These are the gentlemen who vandalised the conference centre in Brighton which hosted FiLia women's conference. Because women meeting to discuss women's rights is obvs 'twanzfobia'. They're becoming increasingly testerical. Are they uping the ante because they know the game is up?

The 'both sides though' is tiresome, as is the endless call for a calm debate. Women have debated calmly for years. All it got them was abuse and violence and an insistence there would be no debate.

I thought it was amusing that someone on the Natzional Trust thread put on their unofficial moderator's hat to try to shove "trans" conversation onto a single thread, to make it easier to ignore. I don't know anything about him, but it's reasonable to assume that, like many men, he isn't that bothered, because these issues don't affect him. Many of us have wives and daughters who have been affected and do care.

My view is that people are free to pretend to be the opposite sex, dress how they like, etc., as long as they don't coerce others into pretending with them, or go into places that are set aside for the other sex. Also, don't fuck up the health of kids.
